SLIDER CLUTCH and MTC GENII MULTISTAGE MTC Engineering releases two new clutches for the Kawasaki ZX14. The first clutch is the new slider for the ZX14. It is built and designed with the same robustness as the past slider models. The slider clutch is designed strictly for racing and gives the rider a very repeatable, fast engaging clutch to control the horsepower to the rear wheel. The second clutch, is the new ZX14 Gen II multistage clutch which falls in line with the series of new Gen II clutches coming out this year. This clutch significantly reduces clutch lever efforts and yet improves clutch adjustability through its "multistage" technology. The new design runs on engine RPM, and demonstrates a quicker reaction time and more repeatability between passes. The new design also allows for easier dynamic spring replacement with its quick access cover plate over the springs. MTC has also redesigned the method used to make the clutch cover fit over these new clutches and the old existing multistage clutch. The new design uses a spacer ring instead of a modified stock cover. This will help make the bike look more like a stock bike, and will also reduce the customers costs by not shipping the stock cover to MTC. Call APE for details |
